The primary role is to safely and efficiently transport and dump loose materials (such as asphalt or dirt) to and from job sites and projects as required. Other tasks such as loading, operating, and daily routine maintenance of the truck, etc. are expected of the driver.
Truck drivers are required to maintain a valid commercial driver’s license, a clean Motor Vehicle Record and DOT medical card. Job duties are continually changing depending on the requirements of each project. The position consists of but is not limited to the following duties:
Deliver materials to the job sites in a safe and timely fashion
Load and unload materials and supplies
Operate all equipment required to load for transportation
Observe safety codes at all times
Report injuries and equipment damage to management
Follow legal requirements when operating equipment and trucks
May be required to do general office work, shop work, or housekeeping
Ability to do physical labor and tasks
A valid CDL Class B license
Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
Ability to follow guidance and instructions
Ability to work extended hours and some weekends
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
Ability to drive manual transmission preferred but not required
