Day Cab Driver – Drop Deck Specialist

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Day Cab Driver to join our team. This position involves operating a day cab truck with a drop deck trailer, primarily for hauling construction materials, blocks, and small equipment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with manual driving and have a strong focus on safety and efficiency:

Key Responsibilities

Operate a day cab truck with a drop deck trailer

Safely transport construction materials, blocks, and small equipment to various job sites

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle

Maintain accurate logs of trips, deliveries, and any incidents

Ensure proper loading and securing of cargo

Communicate effectively with dispatch, site managers, and other team members

Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies

Requirements:

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A unrestricted.

Experience driving trucks with drop deck trailers

Proficiency in manual driving

Knowledge of DOT regulations and hours of service rules

Strong understanding of cargo securement techniques

Excellent driving record with no major violations

Physical ability to assist with loading and unloading when necessary

Good communication and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in construction or related industries

Familiarity with local roads and construction sites

Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor issues
